The Twenties - Mindful Chaos 埋伏抄手

Beijing rockers - The Twenties - known for their affinity of fuzzy 90s-era alt rock return with their sophomore release Mindful Chaos. Guitar rock swooning with a pulpy pop sensibility that sings, their latest would feel right at home in a car tapedeck, soundtracking one’s whirlwind youth with both resonance and playfulness. It touches on many of the best aspects of their debut and refines them - no band quite knows their way around a harmony like The Twenties - whilst adding outside ingredients - such as retro synths - to really bring out its flavors. An album I’ll have on repeat time and time again.

Thermostat 恒温人员 - A Very Hazy Afternoon 一个柳絮很多的下午

There’s a woozy serenity to the alchemy at hand in Thermostat’s sound - a beguiling intimacy that’s both larger than life and yet so minute - capturing the ‘hazy’ atmosphere of a daydream ever so vividly. The lo-fi noise pop project started by bedroom musician roubing wisely keeps the production sparse yet lean - finding solace in jangly guitars, woozy beats, and simmering dissonance - leaving just enough of a clearing to guide you through.

Little Wizard 小巫师 -CONFRONTATION 对峙

Shaoxing heavyweights Little Wizard - almost methodical in their kaleidoscope of instrumental rock and roll - ready with their latest mid-album tease - a double-track EP entitled Confrontation. It once again finds the band transfusing hefty amounts of psych rock into their math rock anatomy - while introducing new touches - lyrics, vocal vocoders, synthesizers - that never comes off as distracting, instead seamlessly making themselves at home in the band’s expansive evocative audial canvases. A B-side remix release of Confrontation finds Xie Yugang of Wang Wen wailing over the first track 'Neurasthenia' while electronic producer Rainsoft has her way with the second track ‘Witness’. 

绍兴重量级乐队小巫师——他们万花筒般的器乐摇滚乐中有条不紊地前进着——准备好了他们中期专辑的最新预告：一张名为《对峙》的双轨 EP。在这张  EP  中，乐队再次将大量的迷幻摇滚元素融入到他们的数摇结构中，同时还引入了新的元素——歌词、人声发声器、合成器，但这些种种从未分散乐队的注意力，反而在乐队广阔而令人回味的音乐画卷中巧妙地找到了自己的位置。《对峙》的B 的面混音版本中，第一首《神经衰弱》由惘闻乐队的谢玉岗演唱，第二首《目击者》则由电子制作人  Rainsoft 重混。
